Wall Street Main Street Global Capitalism

It once was that the better Wall Street did the better our Main Street did. Then came China and the great American disconnect.
Wall Street is running at it's highest peak ever. Yet the middle class of America is suffering high unemployment.

So why the disconnect? Simple. Just plain capitalism. The strive to make the best products along with the highest profit. And how do our big businesses do that?  By having their products manufactured in China. Corporate America does great. Wall Street investors do good. But the American middle class ends up scroogled.
Case and point. Detroit, once a powerhouse of a city has gone bankrupt. But did it really. I should say not. Detroit has not gone into bankruptcy. It just simply moved. With a competitive global market, union workers can no longer demand their high wages and other expensive goodies. They need to realize that they are competing with workers from all over the world. And these workers will do the same job as them, maybe even better. Detroit is just one example of  what is happening to the country. In my next article, I will attempt to find some fixes.
